About Me
Never one to hang around, I began my career in music at the age of 12, as an accompanist for ballet and tap dancing schools in London. I soon found that there were students asking me to teach them to play, and have been teaching ever since. I have now been teaching piano, singing and music theory for 30 years. I cover all styles of music from jazz and blues to pop, rock, musical theatre and classical. I run choirs, orchestras and music groups both in and out of schools, teaching beginners right through to university diploma level. I have a big love of theatre, and was musical director for a local group for 15 years.
Along with piano and singing, I also play the ‘cello, the tenor saxophone, and have recently taken up the violin. I live on the borders of Cambridgeshire with my family, including a pair of teenage boys and a giant Labrador. The Labrador is not so keen on the violin.
